Today, many people around the world are battling different kinds of problems including sins, sicknesses, depression, poverty etc and they wonder why they are not ending, neither are there signs of it ending soon. And this has brought doubts in the hearts of many, others have left the faith and have gone to other means which also seem to be failing.
But today, the spirit of the Lord has led me to share with you this truth and I know, you will be blessed.
John 8:32
And you shall know the true and the truth will set you free
True liberty in Christ starts from knowing the truth. And that truth brings in the freedom. But what is the truth?
The truth is that, by grace you have been saved and set free from sins and it's consequences. It is not your own making, so that no man should boast...
Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV
[4] But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, [5] made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
And Paul repeated this again in verse 8 and 9 because he knows the importance of you knowing it.
[8] For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— [9] not by works, so that no one can boast.
You have to acknowledge that you can not save yourself from sins but the great love of God which made him send Jesus to die so that you may live is the one that has set you free. And this was free, you didn't pay, pray or fast to attain it.
There is no prayer or fasting that can save you from sins, addictions, fornication, stealing etc. No, not at all. But when you acknowledge that it is the grace of God that sets you free, then your prayer will work, and your fasting will work.
Otherwise, the people in the old testament would have been more free from sins if at all prayers and fasting would save people from sins, because those people fasted and prayed like no one else in the new testament.
But Psalms 53:3 tells us that
[3] Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
And Romans 3:23 continued...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
That's why God had to find a way of saving men, it was only through the gift of his son, Jesus Christ when He gave his life for us.
When the Bible says, he gave his life for our sake, it didn't mean his flesh, it meant His spirit because there is no life in the flesh.
John 6:63 KJV
[63] It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh and blood profiteth nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are the Spirit and life.
The flesh was only beaten, bruised and wounded as a punishment for our sins but the real life, came from His spirit.
Isaiah 53:5 NIV
[5] But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
What I mean is this, when he breathed his last on the cross, that life that moved out of him(the holy spirit), it went to the hands of God and God replicated it and sent it back to enter into our lives and make us holy and free from sins as Jesus was.
That's why Jesus said in John 16:7 But very truly I tell you,...unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you..... He had to go so that God would multiply him to enter into the lives of many people and change them.
God did this for you free of charge, you didn't pay anything for it, neither did you pray or fast for it. It was all free.
This is where the real freedom comes from because it is through the working of the free gift of God in you, the holy Spirit, that will make you free and holy {that's why he's called { holy spirit}. Hallelujah
He will direct you on how to pray, and fast and live a life free from sins, sickness, depression, confusion, greed etc. When the holy Spirit lands in your heart, sins will find it's way off, you will not even know how. Glory be to God.
And God did this so that no man should boast. Ephisians 2:9
But you know what, the devil has kept so many people in bondage through ignorance.
Thats why Jesus said, the day you get to know the truth, is the day you will become free.
John 8:32 And you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.
Well, how can knowing the truth set someone free, can it break any bondage? Cure any sickness? Does it have the power to cast out devils?
The answer is simple, Jesus said, the devil was a lier from the beginning, and in him there is no truth. If he tells a lie, he has only acted out of his natural charactor.(John 8:44)
We have all grown up in a society where there is at least one person who is a lier, and a great lier by the way.
One of the weaknesses of such people is that, they want people to believe them even when they know they are lying. So if someone speaks up the truth, they usually get disappointed, ashamed and move away from that place.
So to such a person, when you bring out the truth, he will feel out of place and just move away. That is the weak point of the devil that Jesus wants you to take advantage of. Just bring out the truth and he will move away in frustation. This will save you from breaking things here and there, you will rest from breaking the spirit of poverty, spirit of lust, spirit of sins, etc.
John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Hallelujah
Prayer
Lord of lords and king of Kings, we blessed your holy name. Today I acknowledge that I can not set myself free from sins but it's your grace and love working through the gift of the holy Spirit that has made me free. Thank you for all you did for me, am now free from all sickness, disease and confusion.In Jesus name, Amen.
