Many people today ask themselves if God really see the challenges they are facing, the poverty, the depression, etc. Some have moved from one witch-doctor to another, from one Hospital to another yet the situation just keep worsening. And they ask themselves, "why is life treating me this way?"
And yet God is also asking (Isaiah 55:2) , " Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy?"
In other words, why do you waste your efforts on things that does not last neither do they satisfy?
Hear this now, God is willing to do anything for anybody, to provide things that will satisfy, as long as that somebody can listen to him and put his word to action in his/her life. He said it in
Isaiah 55:2-3 " Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. In simple terms God is saying, "just listen to me," obey my word and I will provide you with the best. I encourage you today to trust his word. He continued and said,
10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)
So if the word of God says "just listen to him and you will eat the best of the land, why don't you listen?".
"The day you will stand and stick only to the word of God, making it your only guid and mentor, is the day you will know that he can change the whole story of a man in just one second". Even dead things will come to life.
Learn to ask
In the old testament, the israelites failed to get what they needed from God because they didn't know how to ask. Instead of asking they would keep quiet and start complaining amongst themselves.
That's why Jesus said, Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open for you". For whoever ask shall receive, whoever knock, the door shall be open and whoever seek shall find (Mathew 7:7). I therefore encourage you today to always ask.
Why many people ask and yet not receive
1. James 4:3 "ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." 2... James 1:8, they ask with doubts
Admonition
James 1:6-8 Ask in faith, never doubting, for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Above it all, be humble and the Lord will lift you up. Amen
Prayer:
Lord, God of heaven and earth, I thank you for today's word and may you help me learn to trust in your promises. In Jesus name. Amen
