The doctrine of Balaam

 The doctrine of Balaam

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

When God brought the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt, he promised them peace and blessings only but a King called Balak wanted a prophet called Balaam to curse the Israelites so that he could defeat them but God refused him. (Deuteronomy 4:40), (Numbers 22:4)✍️

Prophet Balaam wanted money. He tried a number of times but God refused, so he decided to take these men into bondage with a trick that none of the Israelites ever realized🙆 but they just found themselves back in slavery again, this time to Babylon.

These men saw that, if they curse the Israelites they would easily defeat them *but now that they could not curse them, they decided to make them do something that would annoy God and cause him to Curse them by Himself* . So this is what the Prophet did;

He taught them to eat food offered to idols and to practice fornication ." (Revelation 2:14).

And indeed they succeeded and By the time of Prophet Jeremiah, Israel was full of adultery, fornication, lies and all other forms of evil (Jeremiah 23:10)

Shortly after that, God took them to exile, and by the time you reach Jeremiah 29:4, God had already taken them into exile 😢, he was speaking to men in exile now. He told them;

 “The Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those people whom he allowed Nebuchadnezzar to take away as prisoners from Jerusalem to Babylonia: ⁵ ‘ Build houses and settle down. Plant gardens and eat what you grow in them. (Jeremiah 29:4-5)

Friends, the devil knows how to put people into slavery, bondage and captivity, because he knows what you can do and call God's punishment upon your self no matter the promise of Gods blessings upon your life.

That's why Jude wrote and won the believers that The same God who rescued the Israelites from slavery in Eqypt, was the same God who destroyed them.🤔 Jude 1:5;

"⁵ For even though you know all this, I want to remind you of how the Lord once rescued the people of Israel from Egypt, but afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

⁶ Remember the angels who did not stay within the limits of their proper authority, but abandoned their own dwelling place: they are bound with eternal chains in the darkness below, where God is keeping them for that great Day on which they will be condemned.

⁷ Remember Sodom and Gomorrah, and the nearby towns, whose people acted as those angels did and indulged in sexual immorality and perversion: they suffer the punishment of eternal fire as a plain warning to all."

When Balaam introduced his doctrine, the Israelites found themselves doing the very same things the law told them not to do, they didn't know it would slowly by slowly lead them to captivity.😢

(It's a similar act in schools and universities these days, most people may not understand why some people (not all), can finish school/university and afterwards there life become more and more complicated, the devil knows how to put people into bondage~the total freedom ruined many)

Now, in our time, we have a lot of such doctrines, some are preached in churches, even at schools,  inform of music, people are singing under the influence of demonic spirits, that's why when someone listens to their songs they become possessed and wants to act like them.

Many people who are entertained by such songs may find it difficult to have control over themselves. It all starts as a small thing, then it expands and become unbearable. (Galatians 5:9~a little yeast)

The devil knows how to sugarcoat sins, today it is nolonger called adultery, it's called side dish, sugar mammy....etc

 _(God sets his rule, and makes obeying them optional but the punishment for disobedience compulsory just like going to heaven is optional, but going to hell is compulsory for Whoever is not willing to go to heaven.)_

Therefore, all these explains why Paul said we should put on all the armor of God, so that we will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks . (Ephesians 6:11)

But I thank the God who has made us more than conquerors in all things.....God bless you

Admonition

Like the Israelites were promised only blessings in the the promised land and we're told that they would never be taken out of that land, we too have a great promise in Christ Jesus.

But just like the Israelites later got entangled into something that brought a curse on themselves, we too have to resist such things that can cause us to stumble. And I thank God who has enabled us to know these things from a far off. And by your grace we are able to overcome. Thank you Jesus.

Prayer

 _Lord God of all human flesh, I thank you because you have made us more than conquerors by your spirit living in us. I know that all our battles have been won already in Christ. And we are standing by your grace. For that reason, we declare your freedom over our lives always...thank you Jesus Amen._
