The Seal

Revelation 7:1

¹ After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds so that no wind should blow on the earth or the sea or against any tree.

² And I saw another angel coming up from the east with the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels to whom God had given the power to damage the earth and the sea.

³ The angel said, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees, until we mark the servants of our God with a seal on their foreheads."

Paul went on to explain to us what the seal is in his letter to the Ephesians.

Ephisians 1:13: "In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,"

So he made it clear to us that the holy spirit is the seal.

That's why Jesus said in John 3:3: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

You need to be born of the spirit of God and this is the seal that the angels will look for when the last day come.

They will not look for people who fasted the most, not people who walked up to Namugongo on foot 7 times. No, they will look for those with the seal, born from above, the holy spirit.

And Paul went on to explain that, the holy spirit will not only help us get into heaven but it is also a guarantee of our inheritance.

Ephisians 1:14: "which is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory."

So, can a person enter heaven without the holy spirit? The answer is no

If you have not been sealed with the holy spirit, you can't enter heaven since you also don't have any inheritance in heaven. What are you going to do there without your inheritance?

John 3:5-7: "Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁷ Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’"

Heavenly Father, I thank you for sealing us with the gift you promised to us, the holy spirit. For you are indeed faithful and worthy of all our praise. Glory and honor be to you oh Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
